WARRANTY COVERAGE

KP CUSTOM FINISHES, Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that KP Custom Finishes’s Custom Any Molding, Printed Vinyl, Vents, Treads and Riser will be free of defects in materials and workmanship; however, the products are not warranted against excessive force/impact, act of god (relate moisture/temperature), heavy food traffic or accidental breakage, scratches, stains, etc. KP Custom Finishes, warrant that is custom factory applied finish will not chip, peel or wear through to the wood under conditions of normal residential use, for the period of one full year following installation.  Natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, knots, grain and color variation of the wood are to be expected and are not considered defects. 

This warranty applies to the original purchaser of KP Custom Finishes’s factory finished KP Custom Finishes’s custom molding, custom printed Vinyl Molding, Vents, Treads and Riser for residential use, for the duration of the stated warranty period. 

This Warranty does not cover consequential damages (that is, the cost of repairing or replacing anything other than molding products), special, indirect of incidental damages (that is, your loss of time, loss of use, inconvenience, telephone charges, postage or the like related to the warranty claim).

We do not accept returns on product already installed.  No reimbursement will be given on shipping costs from the original order.  No returns will be accepted without prior written authorization from KP Custom Finishes’s Returns Department.  CASH REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN.

Disclaimer: This warranty is given in Lieu of and excludes any other express or implied warranty of any type of kind, particularly and implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all other express or implied representations and warranties are hereby disclaimed.

If required for surface protection due to installation/painting/repairs.  KP Custom Finishes recommends the use of ONLY 3M’s #2090 DELICATE PURPLE TAPE when coming in contact with any of KP Custom Finishes’s pre-finished Products, the following guidelines must be met/required during & after the installation:

1.        Make sure the product is clean and free of any debris.  Only use water and damp micro mop head or terry cloth fabric

2.        Apply tape #2090 (3M DELICATE Tape) only where/when ONLY needed.

3.        Remove all Tapes as Quickly as Possible after apply it, DO NOT EXCEED 8 HOURS OF CONTACT with any KP CUSTOM FINISHES products.  Lengthy applications can/will break down the chemical bond of the finish causing excessive finish failure (Coating Peeling Off)

4.        All Tape and product should be installed in a controlled temperature and humidity range.  Less than 70 Degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity between 40% to 60%.

5.        Any Sanding, Re-coating or attempted refinishing of Kenwood Floor’s product, will invalidate this warranty immediately.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

-           It is the responsibility of the installer to detect any objectionable difference before installation begins of any KP Custom Finishes products.  If any such objections in finish are detected, the installer must NOT install the product.  Installed product will not be eligible for a warranty claim.

-           Before Installing KP Custom Finishes’s Tread & Risers, the installer MUST apply a clear sealant (designed to penetrate and seal bare wood) to all wood surface cut during the installation process, any installed without sealant, the warranty is invalid.

-           Water damage-whether caused by flooding, leads, wet mopping, excessive ground moisture, infiltration of moisture from sidewalls, other surfaces or other causes.

-           Natural wood variations, such as small knots, mineral streaks, grain variations and the like, and normal minor differences in the wood shading between sample and installed products.

-           Accidents, abuse, cleated shoes, spike heels, failure to use protective caps or pads under furniture legs or wheels; scratches, dents or/and any circumstance causing abnormal wear voids this warranty.

-           DAMAGE FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION: DO NOT KEEP ANY APPLIED TAPE FOR HOLDING IN PLACE DURING GLUE APPLICATION FOR GREATER THAN 8 HOURS.
