WARRANTY COVERAGE
KP Custom Finishes Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that KP Custom Finishes’s Custom Molding, Vents, Treads and Riser will be free of defects in materials and workmanship; however, the products are not warranted against excessive force/impact, heavy food traffic or accidental breakage, scratches, stains, etc. KP Custom Finishes, warrant that is custom factory applied finish will not chip, peel or wear through to the wood under conditions of normal residential use, for the period of one full year following installation. Natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, knots, and grain and color variation of the wood are to be expected and are not considered defects.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser of KP Custom Finishes’s factory finished KP Custom Finishes’s custom molding, Vents, Treads and Riser for residential use, for the duration of the stated warranty period.
This Warranty does not cover consequential damages (that is, the cost of repairing or replacing anything other than molding products), special, indirect of incidental damages (that is, your Icss of time, loss of use, inconvenience, telephone charges, postage or the like related to the warranty claim).
We do not accept returns on product already installed. No reimbursement will be given on shipping costs from the original order. No returns will be accepted without prior written authorization from KP Custom Finishes Returns Department. CASH REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN.
Disclaimer: This warranty is given in Lieu of and excludes any other express or implied warranty of any type of kind, particularly and implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all other express or implied representations and warranties are hereby disclaimed.
Proper Care
KP Custom Finishes’s factory-applied finish is intended to stay beautiful with only normal nonabrasive cleaning and damp mopping. No Attempt should be made to stand or recoat this factory finished molding, tread, riser or vent.
For the surface protection due to painting or repairs or installation, KP Custom Finishes recommends the use of ONLY 3M's Blue Tape (For Trim Used Only Blue Tape) when coming in contact with any of KP Custom Finishes prefinished products.
Make sure the KP Custom Finishes’s product is clean and free of any debris. Clean any applicable surface using only water and a damp micro fiber mop.
Not Recommend uses the 3M Blue Tapes more than 10 hours after contact with any KP Custom Finishes’s product.
All Tape and products should be installed in a controlled temperature and humidity range. Less than 70 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity between 40% to 60%
Warranty Exclusions
- It is the responsibility of the builder/installer/owner to detect any objectionable differences before installation begins of any KP Custom Finishes’s Products. If any such objections in grain or color are detected, the builder/installer/owner must not install the molding. Installed product will not be eligible for a warranty claim.
- Color change over time resulting from exposure to sunlight or chemicals. Certain species many darken more than other species when exposed to sunlight.
When installing KP Custom Finishes’s Treads and Risers, the installer must apply a clear sealant (designed to penetrate and seal bare wood) to all wood surfaces cut during the installation process. If installed without sealant, the warranty is invalid.
Water or Moisture Damage, cause by flooding, leaking, wet mopping, excessive ground moisture, infiltration of moisture from sidewalls, high moisture from the air, other surfaces or other
causes.
- Natural wood variations, such as small knots, mineral streaks, grain variations and the like, and normal minor differences in the wood shading between samples and installed products.
- Damage from improper installation, accidents, abuse, spiked shoes, failure to use protective pads under furniture legs or wheels; scratches and dents, or any circumstance causing abnormal wear.
- Acts of God, such as dry/wet weather issue cause cupping & wrapping from the job site or customer's warehouse. We recommend all SOLILD TREAD, RISER OR TRIM TO ACCUMATE before install.
